On Friday 27th September the Umhlanga Village was lit up with fairy lights, live music, delicious foods, and wonderful craft stalls. Market at the Square was a HUGE success and The Market Co can be very proud of the event they put on. I think what I am most excited about after attending this market is that it is now going to be a regular occurrence, on the last Friday night of EVERY month. Yippee!
Market at the Square is held at Granada Square, Umhlanga Village. It starts at 6pm and finishes at 11pm. The Village on a Friday night is such a vibrant place to be, everyone is relaxed after a long work week, the atmosphere is friendly and all are out to have a good time. The northern suburbs of Durban haven’t had an event like this for a while and so you can imagine how well attended the market was.
If I can offer any advice, make sure you mark off the last Friday of October and get to
Market at the Square.
Here are a few of my favourite stalls from Friday night.
LegenDairy Ice-cream, Terry Angelos Art, Little Tarts Homemade Granola, WashiBug WashiTape, Cafe Strawberry. |
Peg & Pencil Stationery, and HIS Apparel |
