What a happy new year

9th January 2014

Happy new year to each and every one of you! I genuinely hope that 2014 is a year that you love each day of. Every year around this time we start to set resolutions for ourselves, but these don’t always last too long. This year I have decided to think differently, laugh more, not take myself too seriously, stop taking things for granted, and enjoy the small things life brings!

Sunsets, big black clouds, drops of rain, steam off a cup of tea, the smell of freshly cut grass, and there are so many more I could rattle off. How often do we just look over these small pleasures when actually even as I write this they bring SUCH joy!

I have spent the last 2 weeks in cold and rainy England and despite the weather we have explored parts of this country that have brought such joy to my heart. I saw this picture yesterday that sums up how I want to live out 2014.

I came across this incredible challenge which I would encourage everyone reading this to get involved in. It is called the #100HappyDays challenge and it is all about finding one thing a day that makes you happy. You can sign up at 100happydays.com and read all about the benefits of taking time out in your day to be happy!

So as your year kicks off, let’s change the way we think rather then putting pressure on ourselves to stick to resolutions. What joy it might bring, and I do hope that your year is a joy filled one.
I look forward to sharing the many AMAZING coffee shops I’ve visited in the UK. New blog posts coming SOON!
