Oh My Soul Café

Oh My Soul, you have to try this new Durban North café! (see what I did there) 🙂

I love it when new coffee shops open up and I especially love it when there is a unique aspect to their offering. Well Oh My Soul is truly unique, as it is the first fully Vegan café in Durban.

I arrived at Oh My Soul on a Friday morning, welcomed by this gorgeous branding and a cosy, eclectic atmosphere as I walked inside.

One of the most appealing pieces of information I received while at Oh My Soul is that before they opened this café, they sampled coffee with their specific milks to make the perfect match that people would love drinking. Oh My Soul use Beaver Creek coffee (organic and local) and some of the options you can order are the Caring Coconut Cappuccino, the Almazing Cappuccino and the Soy-delicious Cappuccino. I just love the quirkiness!

All milks available are plant based and you can choose from:

• Almond milk
• Rice milk
• Soya milk
• Oat milk
• Coconut milk

Oh My Soul also serve a range of teas; Green Tea, Lemon & Ginger, Chai Tea and more.

So obviously we ordered coffee and then we looked at the cakes! Wowzer what a spread. From date balls to tarts, cupcakes and brownies – all vegan, all delectable.

We opted for the chocolate raspberry tart, a peanut butter and chocolate tart, a cupcake for Emalyn, and a piece of pumpkin pie. We were completely stuffed after it all (no we didn’t finish everything). My absolute favourite was the peanut butter and chocolate tart. It was DELICIOUS! Paul loved the brownie and Emalyn, as usual, just licked the icing off her cupcake.

Word on the street is that their vurgers are really good and the waffles also looked like a must.

Oh My Soul is an earth conscious café, using only biodegradable packaging. What legends!!!
