I am so excited about the launch of Fig Tree Coffee in Riverside, Durban. We used to live just down the road and I always said that the area could do with a great coffee shop. Well now there is one!
Fig Tree Coffee is a coffee shop run out of Grace Family Church, at their Riverside campus. Best put, “We’re not in the coffee business serving people. We’re in the people business serving coffee”. This authentic attitude is so evident throughout the coffee shop, which is set up to provide space for people to connect and build community.
Why the name? Well when you visit you will be sitting beside a magnificent fig tree that towers up into the sky.
Fig Tree Coffee are serving a range of espresso based drinks, red cappuccino, and hot chocolate options. They have a light lunch menu and let me tell you, their asian chicken salad is AMAZING!! I mean look at it. They also have choices of health rolls, and wraps, along with kiddies packs for the little ones.
On that note, Fig Tree Coffee have a spacious kids play area, which includes a jungle gym, and soft toys for your even littler ones. This coffee shop is every mom’s dream. They also have free wifi (what’s not to love) so Fig Tree Coffee is a great coffee shop to spend your morning at getting through some work.
