hello. cafe

27th February 2014

New to the Umhlanga/Somerset Park area is hello. cafe, a nifty cafe serving Colombo Coffee, chocolate brownies to die for, and a generous breakfast and lunch menu. hello. cafe is located at Harvest Church in Somerset Park, and is run by Kelly & Martin. This barista duo has been known to whip up some really tasty coffees from their retro yellow Carimali coffee machine.

From dippy eggs to homemade muesli hello. cafe‘s menu is filled with home comforts and a few lunchtime spoils, including line fish and my favourite, Chorizo & Feta Flatbread. YUM!!! Zack is their kitchen master and he has been in the industry for many years. He also serves up a great toasted sammie, and the popular Asian Chicken & Noodle Salad. Basically they have a good thing going here!

“I think goodbyes are sad & I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.” ~ Ernie Harwell

With this quote as their motto, hello. cafe has set out on a new adventure of coffee, treats, and tasty food. Open Tuesday - Friday, 7am - 2.30pm. hello. cafe also has free wifi so it is a great spot to relax with friends, get some work done, or have your next meeting at.
Kitted out with couches and a bar counter work station with pug points (bonus), take your pick of seating depending on your work load.

hello. cafe is also amazing if you have kids. There is a kiddies menu, and a play area so mums can catch up with friends while the kids are fully entertained in a safe environment.

So the next time you are driving along Umhlanga Rocks Drive, stop off at hello. cafe and if you are a social media fan you can follow them on Facebook HERE.

love it. they’re clearly not in it for the money. big double cappuccino and a brownie. R30. feels like one of us is being robbed, while the other walks off with a brownie and a cappuccino. 😀

so nice that it’s close to our office… not that I’m ever at the office though.
