On Friday night the bloggers of Durban were treated to a wonderful networking event at The Xef Cafe on Florida Road, hosted by SA Bloggers. It was called the We Blog For Love Launch, because let’s be honest we do all blog for love.
The heart behind SA Bloggers is a young gentleman named Sandile Nene. Sandile heard about the world of blogging a few years back and started learning more about it, and it was in 2012 that he decided to start a platform for bloggers to interact and help each other out. SA Bloggers began on Twitter and with the increasing success it was launched as the website www.weblogforlove.com. Sandile wanted bloggers to feel welcome, have a place where their questions could be answered, and where they could share blogging tips. SA Bloggers don’t claim to be experts but they have a genuine heart to make bloggers feel appreciated and made to feel that what they are doing is worth something.
So on Friday night we met other bloggers, chatted about the plans we had for our blogs, and shared advice amongst each other. All in all it was a great way to connect with the Durban blogging community, and enjoy an evening with like-minded people. There were giveaways and free cocktails and snacks, and a HUGE thank you to @CATApparel for the incredible R1000 voucher. I don’t ever win anything but Friday was my lucky night. As well as thank you to SA Bloggers for the lovely goodie bag each blogger received.
Here is a list of some of the wonderful bloggers I met. Follow them on Twitter and go have a look at their blogs.
