Cape Town is home to MANY new artisan coffee shops and Shift Espresso Bar is one in particular that can be found in Green Point. I was recommended this coffee shop by a friend of mine who used to live in Cape Town, and was welcomed by the friendly owner Luigi.
Shift Espresso Bar can be found in the Cape Royal, 47 Main Road, Green Point. You can find your way there from our directory map. As you walk down Main Road, passed a couple well known restaurants you will find yourself outside Shift Espresso Bar. The coffee shop has tables outside in the fresh air or for those rainy days there are tables inside, and one very comfy couch if you’re lucky. The decor is a mix of modern copper come 70s chic.
Shift Espresso Bar have their own specialty coffee House Blend, which is a combination os Ethiopian and Brazilian beans. They also serve 3 Single Origin coffees from Nicaragua, Brazil, and El Salvador. Their coffee is locally roasted and you can buy yourself a bag of beans at the coffee shop.
What makes this coffee shop unique?
The friendly welcoming service we experienced left me certain that I will be returning to Shift Espresso Bar. Luigi also shared with us that his hope for the coffee shop is that it would be a place for the community to come and relax, meet up with friends, or get some work done.
