One of my favourite things to do on a weekend is find a coffee shop where I can read, edit photos or sit for hours drinking good coffee and eating yummy treats. While in Durban I have stumbled upon a few really enticing places as well as some not so hot spots.
Here are my Top 3 Coffee Shops in Durban!
In 3rd place is Corner Cafe. {I think they could do with a couple couches but that’s beside the point.} Corner Cafe is delightful! A great Glenwood spot to relax on a Saturday morning, while eating Eggs Benedict and sipping on a cappuccino. Corner Cafe’s staff are super friendly and helpful and you can potter around the boutiques in there outside courtyard. Try it the next time you are in the area.
2nd place goes to the warm and cosy Bean Green Coffee Company. Maybe I am just a fan of the small space but I love this place. It is easy to find, the coffee is great, the staff are wonderfully friendly and you can buy Krupps grinders from them. It is a wonderful weekend hideaway, and because it is small you feel like you are away from the chaos outside.
I saved my best for last… 1st place goes to Colombo Tea and Coffee Co. Their Factory Cafe upstairs is a warehouse turned coffee roastery and cafe. Why is this my favourite? The location is a bit tricky to find with all the one ways in Durban but the coffee is so creamy and delicious! The Factory Cafe often hosts events, mainly music events but they have also been hosts to the Pecha Kucha event and their barristers have taken part in some pretty prestigious competitions and ranked highly. I think I’ve made my point.
There you have it. But that’s just my opinion and I know there are more coffee shops to explore and I cannot wait to update my Top 3 list.
Have a wonderful week friends and coffee lovers.
A little ways out of Durban, in Kloof there’s a fantastic little place called Bellevue cafe. Upstairs is a small art gallery and there is an awesome gift shop next door! The food is amazing and the coffee’s nice, but the atmosphere is really relaxed!
Thanks Andrew! Really excited to go try it out. Perfect for a Saturday outing up the hill 🙂
