To all of you who have followed me on this journey of blogging, Thank You! I am loving it! Every post inspires me to keep writing, keep capturing moments and keep doing what makes me happy.
Life is always filled with its ups and downs and sometimes we encounter more downs than ups but we get through. Thankfully we come out stronger on the other end and this I am most relieved about.
One of the reasons I started this blog was because I had a lot of time on my hands, reason being I was working freelance and had most of my mornings free. I didn’t intend on being in this position for as long as it turned out to be, 2 years. I applied for jobs, I went to interviews and I came out with nothing but lots of free time. I didn’t understand why it was happening that way, I was so frustrated and feel like I had no idea what my future would hold. It was a testing time.
I held on to the truth, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all else will be given to you.” This is what I did, I loved God by doing what is close to my heart, writing, reading His word, getting involved in community projects and chatting to Him. I waited and I waited. I lost love and I found love… the greatest love!
Why am I writing this, well 2 weeks ago the waiting came to an end… I got a job! The most exciting phone call I have ever received. As of January 2012 I will be a Social Media Strategist at a Marketing Company in Durban. The joy that exudes this statement is indescribable. I get to start my career doing something I love, blogging, writing interesting content for media such as Facebook and Twitter and serving my God in my work. Yippeeee 🙂
This post may not be about a coffee shop or a yummy recipe but I hope that it will encourage some of you to keep at it, keep doing the things you love and you too will experience a pure pure joy.
Durban 2012 I look forward to our union; beach, boyfriend, family and friends, so much to look forward to.
JHB you have been good for this season, but I bid you farewell and thank you for the lessons I have learnt over the past 2 years. Catch you on the flip side 🙂
I like! Here’s to a new start for us both
